By Mick as part of the brief exchange exhibition: This was a fun one to work on and I absolutely loved this brief. My mind was racing with possible ideas and I’ve since learned lots of terms of venery from an ostentation of peacocks to a parliament of owls. Roll on the next table quiz. It’s in the bag.
Anyway for this brief i knew i wanted to make something and photograph it. I found some mousetraps in the local hardware shop, spayed them (gravestone) grey and made some little dead mice. The wings of the mice are made from pigeon feathers found in fairview park and the set is made from an old found cardboard box painted.. for that authentic trashy feel. Holes were made in the cardboard box and back lit with a flash gun so that the star effect appeared.

How random.
